WHAT WE DO

We are always looking for creative ways to love our neighbor, by volunteering to serve them in whatever way helps the most.  If you or someone you know, needs a helping hand or even a word of encouragement, please don't hesitate to contact us at: LoveYourNeighborCommunity@gmail.com or

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."  1Thes 5:11

Ways we've been LOVIN in VIRGINIA...
    •  Getting to know our actual neighbors, one at a time… inviting them for coffee, a meal, or helping in some way, encouraging and praying for them.
    • Serving food at “Main Street Meals”, through Main Street Baptist Church in Luray.
    • Volunteering to sort, organize, and/or clean at Page One Thrift Shop.  (proceeds go to a food pantry)
    • Providing stuffed animals to the Luray Emergency Room, Police Dept., Fire Dept., Rescue Squad, Social Services,  and local Medical offices for little patients, to comfort them.  A note is attached, reminding them that they are loved. :-)
    • Volunteering at the Luray Festival of Spring” to run the bouncehouse and Childrens Activities to help the Luray Downtown Initiative.
    • Distributing treats on holidays at Walmart, with notes of encouragement.
    • Free lemonade stands on hot summer days.
    • Free hot cocoa on cold winter days & Christmas caroling.
LOVIN in the works...
    • Providing bookmarks to the library with a word of encouragement.
    • Free Car washes, with suckers for kids and a note of encouragement for the driver.
    • Volunteering to help at the Life Center.
    • Giving goodie bags to various employees at local businesses, to show our appreciation.
    • Helping out with raking leaves, cleaning windows, sewing repairs, cooking meals, babysitting for free, etc.
    • Painting nails, styling hair, playing games or just visiting the elderly at home or local nursing homes.
    • Distributing quarters at local laundromats to those in need.
    • Visiting and encouraging those at our local jail.
